30 November – 2 December 2005
1700 e-Learning practitioners from over 68 countries will be converging on Berlin over the next week for the 11th Online Educa in Berlin – that’s enormous!!!!
Carol Daunt – LTUG’s Executive Officer is organising the inaugural Asia Pacific E-Learning Forum (http://www.learntel.com.au/ap-forum to be held the day prior to the main conference.
The Forum’s theme, "Stretch your horizons"… reflects a unique opportunity to establish and build new partnerships in the Asia Pacific region as it enters the arena of globalisation.
Leaders from India, New Zealand, China, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia will address:
* The current status of e-learning
* Their country’s vision for the future
* Current issues and obstacles
* Collaboration and partnership opportunities
Delegates will hear about funding initiatives in the region that are driving and expanding e-learning opportunities and innovation across all sectors of education and training, business and government.
Carol will be sending reports back OEB – not sure how she’s going to find the time though – I’ve just downloaded the conference program….I reckon she’ll be spending all her time running between sessions!
