About

This blog is authored by Anne Bartlett-Bragg.
I specialise in the creation of innovative learning and collaboration environments for organisations with social technologies.

My passion for social technologies started with e-Learning, and as an early adopter, I have been working in this medium since 1996 where I’ve been involved with the design and development of technology enhanced learning initiatives for a number of clients. I am now an advocate for eradicating badly designed e-Learning from all organisations and enabling the effective implementation of social technologies.

Currently, I am the Managing Director for the Ripple Effect Group Asia Pacific. I have been the Executive Director of the Learning Technologies User Group, and the educational advisor to the Australian Businesswomen’s Network where I designed the first national mentoring program (MentorNet) for young women entrepreneurs in 2007, developed entirely in social software.

Prior to returning to study and starting my own business, my early career background in the travel and hospitality industry management roles with Qantas Airways, Qantas Holidays, the ANA Hotel Sydney, Hyatt International, and National World Travel franchise group.  In these roles I gained valuable knowledge and first hand operational experience for organisations seeking to improve their business performance, without compromising the value of their people.

I am a sessional academic at the University of Technology Sydney, in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences where I have been researching, developing subjects and lecturing in organisational learning. I have presented academic papers at both national and international conferences, published a number of chapters in international text books, and am a regular reviewer of academic journal articles that specialise in social software and communication technologies.

I completed my PhD in 2013 that investigated the adult learners’ experiences of developing learning networks through the use of weblogs or self-publishing technologies.

I also have a MEd (Adult Ed), BEd (Adult Ed), Dip HRM, Dip e-Learning and Cert IV Training and Assessment.
